An employee of the Training Center represented the State Tax Service at an international tax symposium
From June 29 to July 03 of the current year, the XVIII International Symposium titled "Theory and Practice of Tax Reforms" was held in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. The event was organized with the participation of the Neva Academy of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, and other scientific and educational institutions, alongside representatives from the PRC, Germany, Uzbekistan, and other foreign countries.
At the symposium, which was organized in the form of plenary sessions and panel discussions, current topics were discussed, including the theoretical-methodological, infrastructural, and practical aspects of fiscal stimulation of technological innovations, the application of innovative technologies in the fight against tax evasion, regional and sectoral issues, tax stimulation for the application of artificial intelligence and high-tech medicine, identifying the relationship between technological cycles and the innovation process, and strategic directions of tax policy aimed at ensuring the country's technological sovereignty. Furthermore, best practices regarding the tax stimulation of technological innovations were presented.
Nazim Aliyev, Head of the Science, Innovation, and Cooperation Department of the Training Center of the State Tax Service, who attended the event, delivered presentations on the topics of "The Use of Innovative Technologies in the Fight Against Tax Crime" and "The Azerbaijani Experience in Tax Stimulation of Technological Innovations." Within the framework of the symposium, Nazim Aliyev also participated in and successfully completed a 32 - hour professional development course on "Digital Analytics in the Tax Administration System" organized by the Neva Academy of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
