Representatives from the State Tax Service (STS), under the Ministry of Economy, recently organized an informative session for students at Baku State University (BSU). The gathering featured the official introduction of the Summer Internship Program alongside a specialized seminar titled "The Role of Tax Authorities in Protecting Economic Security."
A spokesperson from the STS Main Department of Human Resources shared insights regarding the internship initiative, explaining that it offers a platform for students to transition their academic theories into professional practice. The program aims to acquaint participants with a genuine workplace setting while sharpening their expert competencies. It was highlighted that by gaining hands-on experience across diverse tax sectors, students can more effectively navigate their future professional trajectories. The session wrapped up with a video presentation illustrating the core stages of the internship.
Furthermore, an expert from the STS Training Center conducted a collaborative workshop on the "Significance of tax agencies in safeguarding national economic interests". The discussion focused on how these authorities uphold financial consistency, explaining the vital importance of fostering a transparent atmosphere and improving tax compliance among the public.
The State Tax Service remains dedicated to regularly holding these types of awareness-driven initiatives throughout various universities.
